2BV Series Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump

The 2BV series vacuum pump is a single-stage water ring type vacuum acquisition equipment, adopting an eccentric impeller and water ring sealing structure design, integrating dual functions of vacuum suction and low-pressure compression, and is widely used in industrial vacuum operation scenarios. With water as the working medium, the equipment forms a closed water ring through high-speed rotation of the impeller to realize continuous cycles of suction, compression and exhaust, with the remarkable advantages of stable vacuum degree, low operating noise and oil-free pollution. It features a compact structure and easy installation and maintenance. The wetted parts can be made of cast iron or stainless steel, suitable for vacuum filtration, vacuum distillation, material transportation, vacuum drying and other process requirements in chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing, papermaking and other industries. Introduce the basic functions of the product



1. Industrial vacuum suction 


Relying on the water ring seal and eccentric impeller structure, it can quickly extract gas from a closed space to form a stable vacuum environment, meeting the negative pressure requirements of processes such as vacuum filtration, vacuum drying, and vacuum adsorption.


2. Low-pressure gas compression 


It also has a light compression function, which can compress the pumped gas under low pressure and then discharge it, making it suitable for gas transportation, exhaust gas recovery and other working conditions, without the need for additional compression equipment.


3. Oil-free cleaning operation 


Using water as the working medium, there is no oil mist emission during operation, which will not contaminate the pumped medium and the working environment. It is especially suitable for industries with high cleanliness requirements, such as pharmaceuticals and food processing.


4. Gas-liquid mixing and conveying 


It can tolerate the mixing of small amounts of liquid and can simultaneously pump gas and liquid media. It is suitable for gas-liquid coexistence processes such as vacuum distillation and material dehydration, and avoids liquid entering the pump body and causing malfunctions.


5. Stable pressure regulation


By adjusting the water supply flow and exhaust valve, the vacuum level and exhaust pressure can be precisely controlled to maintain stable operating conditions and adapt to the different vacuum requirements of different processes.



Usage Environment




1. Media Environment 


Suitable for pumping air, water vapor, and non-corrosive gases that do not contain solid particles and are insoluble in water; can tolerate small amounts of condensable gases (such as oil vapor and steam). Do not pump strong acids, strong alkalis, flammable and explosive gases (such as hydrogen and methane), gases containing hard particulate dust, or media that react violently with water. When the flow-through parts are made of cast iron, it is suitable for neutral/weakly alkaline media; stainless steel can withstand weakly acidic media (pH 5-9).


2. Temperature environment 


The operating water temperature needs to be controlled between 5℃ and 35℃. Too high a water temperature will reduce the vacuum, while too low a water temperature will easily cause scale buildup on the pump body. The operating ambient temperature of the equipment is -10℃ to 40℃. Outdoor installations need to be equipped with rainproof and sunproof covers to avoid freezing at low temperatures or aging of the seals due to high temperatures.


3. Installation Environment


It should be installed in a dry, well-ventilated indoor or machine room free of dust and corrosive gases; the ground should be flat and firm, with reserved maintenance space (≥0.8m); avoid installation in areas with high vibration and easy impact, the pump body should be fixed on a shock-absorbing base to reduce the impact of operating vibration on the pipeline; filter devices should be installed at the inlet and outlet to prevent impurities from entering the pump body.


4. Electrical Environment 


Standard configuration includes three-phase 380V/50Hz power supply; 220V/60Hz and 440V/60Hz specifications can be customized to suit overseas markets. Overload, phase loss, and leakage protection switches are required; the electrical control cabinet must be kept away from humid and dusty areas. The motor protection rating is IP54 (IP55 optional for outdoor models) to prevent water ingress or dust accumulation in the motor.

The machine is small in size and light in weight, and can be flexibly installed indoors or in a computer room without the need for complex foundation engineering; it has few vulnerable parts, and daily maintenance only requires periodic replacement of seals and cleaning of filters. The flow-through components can be made of cast iron or 304/316 stainless steel. The cast iron version is wear-resistant and impact-resistant, while the stainless steel version is resistant to weak acid and alkali media. The seals are made of fluororubber, which is resistant to high temperature and aging. The average service life of the whole machine can reach 8 to 10 years.

Product Operation Guide




1. Pre-power-on checks and preparations●


Media Preparation: Add clean, softened water or distilled water to the tank until the water level reaches 2/3 of the mark to prevent hard water scale buildup and blockage of the flow channel. If pumping corrosive gases, select a pump body made of a corresponding corrosion-resistant material and add a suitable working fluid. ●Component Inspection: Ensure the inlet and outlet valves are closed to prevent starting under load; check that the coupling connection is secure, without looseness or abnormal noise; test the motor insulation resistance to be ≥5MΩ, and ensure that the cable and sealing joints are undamaged and free from leakage. ●Rotation Confirmation: Briefly turn on the power switch and observe that the impeller rotation direction matches the arrow on the pump body. If it rotates in reverse, adjust the power phase sequence.


2. Start-up and vacuum level adjustment● 


First, open the water supply valve. After a stable water ring forms in the pump chamber, turn on the main power switch to start the motor. ● Slowly open the air inlet valve and observe the value using a vacuum gauge. Gradually adjust the valve opening to the required vacuum level. If a higher vacuum is required, the water circulation cooling system can be turned on to control the water temperature between 5℃ and 35℃. ● Closely monitor the pump for 5 minutes after startup: ensure the motor current does not exceed the rated value, the pump body does not vibrate violently, and there are no leaks of water or air at the seals.


3. Monitoring during operation ● 


Inspect every 1-2 hours: Maintain a stable vacuum level, pump body temperature ≤60℃, bearing temperature ≤70℃; if the vacuum level drops suddenly, prioritize checking for clogged inlet filter, insufficient water level in the water tank, or pipeline leaks. ● Never start without water to avoid impeller dry friction damaging the mechanical seal; do not operate at overrated vacuum for extended periods to prevent motor overload and overheating. ● When pumping gases containing condensable gases, periodically drain the liquid accumulated in the separator to prevent liquid backflow into the pump chamber.


4. Shutdown Procedure● 


Normal shutdown: First close the air inlet valve, then disconnect the power supply; after the impeller has completely stopped rotating, close the water supply valve; for long-term shutdown, drain the water tank and pump chamber to prevent freezing or corrosion from residual media. ● Emergency shutdown: Press the emergency stop button directly. After shutdown, troubleshoot the fault (such as overload, severe vibration, leakage), and restart only after eliminating potential hazards.


5. Safety Precautions ● 


Power must be disconnected and a "Do Not Operate" warning sign must be displayed during maintenance. Before disassembling pipelines, the pressure relief valve must be opened to balance the pressure to prevent injury from vacuum suction. ● After pumping corrosive, flammable, or explosive gases, the pump chamber must be rinsed with clean water. The electrical control cabinet must be placed in a dry and ventilated place to avoid short circuits caused by moisture.
