Sanitary Centrifugal Pump

The stainless steel sanitary centrifugal pump is a fluid transfer device specifically designed for industries with stringent hygiene requirements, such as food, pharmaceuticals, daily chemicals, and bioengineering. All flow-through components are constructed from 304 or 316L stainless steel, meeting international hygiene certification standards such as FDA and GMP. This type of pump features a dead-angle-free flow channel design with a smooth, flat inner wall, effectively preventing media residue and bacterial growth. It supports CIP (clean-in-place) and SIP (sterilization-in-place) operations, allowing cleaning and sterilization processes to be completed without disassembly, significantly reducing the risk of cross-contamination. Its impeller design balances transfer efficiency with material protection, and its low shear force characteristics prevent structural damage to media containing particles or viscous substances (such as yogurt, pharmaceuticals, and sauces). Introduce the basic functions of the product



1. Clean media delivery 


Its core function is to transport various fluid media with high hygiene standards, including food and beverages (milk, juice, beer, syrup), pharmaceutical raw materials (medicinal liquid, distilled water, oral liquid), daily chemical products (face cream, shampoo) and biological agents (fermentation liquid, nutrient solution), etc. The flow parts have no dead corners to avoid media contamination.


2. Low-shear material protection 


With an optimized impeller structure design, it generates low shear force during operation, which can reduce structural damage to easily emulsified, particulate, or heat-sensitive media, ensuring the stability of the original composition and properties of the material. It is suitable for conveying special materials such as yogurt, sauces, and vaccine intermediates.


3. High-efficiency and stable pressurized delivery 


It leverages centrifugal force to lift and transport media over long distances, providing stable head and flow rate according to working conditions. It meets the process requirements of material transfer, filling, and circulation between different processes in the workshop, and is suitable for positive or negative pressure conveying scenarios.


4. CIP/SIP in-situ cleaning and sterilization


It supports Clean In-In (CIP) and Sterilize In-In (SIP) operations, and can complete internal cleaning and high-temperature sterilization without disassembling the pump body, greatly simplifying the cleaning process, reducing the risk of cross-contamination, and complying with FDA, GMP and other hygiene certification standards.


5. Leak-free sealing protection 


Equipped with sanitary mechanical seals or aseptic sealing components, it can effectively prevent media leakage and the intrusion of external impurities, ensuring a clean production environment and avoiding the waste of valuable media. Usage Environment




I. Media Requirements 


1. Applicable Media: Clean fluids such as food and beverage, pharmaceutical fluids, daily chemical emulsions, biological agents, and pure water. 


2. Parameter Range: Viscosity ≤ 500 mPa·s; Temperature -20℃ to 150℃; Particle size ≤ 0.5mm, content ≤ 0.1%. 


3. Contraindications: Strictly prohibited from conveying highly corrosive, flammable, explosive, highly abrasive slurries and media containing large particles/fibers.


II. Installation and Operation Conditions


1. Ambient temperature and humidity: 5℃~40℃, humidity ≤85%, no condensation. 


2. Site requirements: Flat and firm ground, with ≥0.5m of maintenance space; free of dust and corrosive gases, meeting GMP cleanroom standards. 


3. Electrical configuration: AC 220V/380V/415V, 50Hz/60Hz; motor protection ≥IP55, outdoor installation requires a rain cover.


III. Adaptation to Special Working Conditions 


1. Aseptic scenario: Optional aseptic seal + clamp connection, supports SIP sterilization. 


2. Positive and negative pressure conveying: Upgraded negative pressure/high pressure resistant seal. 


3. Explosion-proof requirements: Optional Ex d II BT4 explosion-proof motor.

Product Operation Guide




I. Before powering on 


1. Close the inlet and outlet valves, fill the pump chamber with the medium, and do not run it dry; clean the inlet filter. 


2. Check the power supply voltage and confirm that the motor rotation is clockwise; check that the mechanical seal is adequately lubricated.


II. Startup and Operation 


1. Open the inlet valve → start the motor → after the pressure stabilizes, slowly open the outlet valve and adjust to the required flow rate. 


2. Monitor the pressure, flow rate, and equipment noise; ensure there is no abnormal vibration. Prolonged operation with the outlet valve fully closed is strictly prohibited.


III. Shutdown and Maintenance 


1. Close the outlet valve → disconnect the power → close the inlet valve; drain the residual medium from the pump chamber. 


2. For routine cleaning, use CIP (Clean In-Place) for cleaning in place; for aseptic operation, perform SIP (Sterile In-Place) sterilization, controlling temperature and time. 


3. For long-term shutdown: thoroughly clean and dry, seal the inlet and outlet; periodically manually rotate the pump to prevent jamming.


IV. Safety Precautions 


Power off and label the area before maintenance; take proper protective measures when operating with high-temperature media; and ensure that the sterile workshop follows GMP standards.
