CHL Horizontal Stainless Steel Multistage Pump

The CHL horizontal stainless steel multistage pump is a horizontal, lightweight multistage centrifugal pump. Its flow-through components are made of 304/316 stainless steel. Through multi-stage impellers connected in series for pressurization, it can achieve low-flow, high-head fluid transportation. This pump features horizontal installation, a small footprint, low operating vibration and noise, and requires no motor movement for maintenance, making it convenient. The stainless steel material is resistant to weak acids and alkalis, making it suitable for transporting clean water, pure water, and other media. It is widely used in building secondary water supply, industrial cooling circulation, boiler feedwater, and pre-pressurization for reverse osmosis water treatment, and is often paired with a frequency converter control cabinet to achieve constant pressure water supply.

3. Installation site: Flat, well-ventilated area, free from dust and strong electromagnetic interference, and avoid severe vibration.


4. Altitude limit: ≤1000m; for high altitudes, appropriate derating is required.

Product Operation Guide


1. Pre-start preparation: Check that the pump body and pipeline connections are secure and that the inlet and outlet valves are in the required positions (it is recommended to open the outlet valve for the first start). Confirm that the medium is clean and free of particles, and prime the pump to remove air (avoid dry running). Verify that the power supply voltage matches the rated voltage of the pump's motor.


2. Start-up operation: Manual control: Press the start button on the control cabinet and observe whether the pump outlet pressure and motor operating sound are normal. Automatic control: Switch the control cabinet to automatic mode; the pump will start and stop automatically based on pressure/level signals.


3. Operation monitoring: Monitor the motor current, pump body vibration, and for leaks at the seals. Stop the pump immediately if any abnormalities are found. Variable frequency models can adjust the speed via the control cabinet to match the actual water supply pressure requirements.


4. Shutdown operation: Manual shutdown: Press the stop button on the control cabinet. Long-term shutdown: Close the inlet and outlet valves, disconnect the power supply, and drain the medium from the pump to prevent freezing or corrosion.


Frequently Asked Questions


1. Failure to start or no water output after starting is often due to insufficient pump filling (air lock), inlet/outlet valves not opening, missing power supply phase or low voltage, or pipeline blockage.


2. Excessive noise and vibration during operation are usually caused by misalignment of the pump shaft and motor shaft, impeller wear imbalance, air entering the suction end, or an unstable installation foundation.


3. Shaft end leakage is mainly due to wear and aging of the mechanical seal, or insufficient water intake in the sealing cavity leading to dry running. In rare cases, excessive pump shaft runout damages the seal.


4. Insufficient head and low flow rate are most likely due to impeller scaling and blockage, insufficient number of stages, or the actual operating head exceeding the pump's rated range. For frequency converter models, the frequency setting may be too low.


5. Motor overload and overheating are often caused by the outlet valve opening being too large, excessive medium viscosity, or bearing damage increasing operating resistance.
