HW Volute Mixed Flow Pump

The HW mixed-flow pump is a high-flow, low-head, single-stage volute centrifugal pump that combines centrifugal force and axial thrust to transport media. It features high efficiency, low energy consumption, and a compact structure. This pump is suitable for media such as clean water and lightly polluted water, and is widely used in agricultural irrigation, municipal drainage, flood control and drainage, and industrial circulating water systems. It supports horizontal installation and dual-drive configurations (electric motor/diesel) to meet the transportation needs of various scenarios.

Introduce the basic functions of the product



1. High-flow-rate media transportation 


Relying on the dual action of centrifugal force and axial thrust, it can realize the large-flow, low-head transportation of media such as clean water and light sewage, and is suitable for large-scale fluid transfer needs.

Product Operation Guide




1. Before starting, check the installation and pipeline seals; verify the power supply direction; prime the pump to remove air and replenish lubricating oil. 


2. During operation, fully open the valves → start the motor; monitor pressure and current to ensure they are within rated values, and observe for any abnormal vibration or leakage. 


3. When shutting down: Normal shutdown: disconnect power → close the valves; for long-term shutdown, drain any water accumulated in the pump. Emergency shutdown: In case of a malfunction, immediately disconnect power, troubleshoot, and then restart.




Frequently Asked Questions



1. Insufficient flow/Inability to draw water 


There is air in the pump; the suction pipe is blocked/leaking; there are too many impurities in the medium; the impeller is worn.


2. Loud vibration and abnormal noise 


Unstable installation; misalignment between the motor and pump shaft; insufficient or damaged bearings; foreign objects stuck in the impeller.


3. Sealing leakage 


The seals are worn or aged; the gland is not properly tightened; the pump shaft is deformed.


4. Motor overload tripping 


Excessive head; valve not fully open; motor malfunction.


5. Decreased efficiency 


Impeller scaling/wear; excessive pipeline resistance; high medium viscosity.
